70s Velour Maxi skirt and top-- Persimmon and Blackberry - Vintage Slinky Boho - S

Satin Velour Maxi Skirt Set
Rich Flame & Purple Paisley

This set comes from the time when acetate velour had just been invented, and was sooo desirable. It was the velvet that you could actually wear, since there is a little stretch to it. The colors are meant to stand out on gray metropolis streets, like San Francisco, Chicago or Manhattan.

The long sleeved top is like Persimmon on Fire, and the skirt includes colors of green, cobalt and purple. You could wear the sweater out, or tucked in to the button-up skirt. The maxi skirt buttons at the waist with two metal ball buttons, and nine more buttons extend to mid-calf.

This is in such superb condition that I don’t think this has ever been worn. The skirt has more green than some of the pix -- the colors in this fabric react differently to the camera. I tried to adjust as well as I could.

ABOUT CONDITION: Assume excellent vintage (no repros), unless I say otherwise. Everything has been checked carefully. Loose seams or hems have been resewn, missing buttons replaced, pulled threads looped inside, and the washables have all been laundered. If dry cleaning is needed, I say so in the listing. And of course smoke-free!!!
