Juniper Hair Stick

Description

Juniper berries have been found in ancient Egyptian tombs, and the berries imported into Egypt may have come from Greece; the Greeks record using juniper berries as a medicine long before mentioning their use in food. The Greeks used the berries in many of their Olympics events because of their belief that the berries increased physical stamina in athletes.The Romans used juniper berries as a cheap domestically-produced substitute for the expensive black pepper and long pepper imported from India.

In the language of flowers, juniper speaks protection.

At the tip of this hair stick is an Italian styled glass bead that I have wrapped with Swarovski crystal beads and gold plated sparkle beads. A small brass hummingbird has lit upon the juniper tree.

produces some of the world's most beautiful beads. Their
special process creates components that have incredible brilliance and are in high demand. They cost a little more, but the results are worth it

The wooden stick has been hand painted by me with a custom shade of teal that I have mixed. Hand painting these sticks is a time consuming process. Each stick has to dry a day in between coats and each stick requires at least 3 coats, so they are more expensive than the natural unpainted wood. It measures 7" long with 6" of usable stick.

This is a one of a kind, it cannot be duplicated in this color.
