This Anatomy collage copper journal is made from 18-gauge solid copper plates and features four panels two each of lungs and heart. The design are assembled, collage style, using various art sources including hand-drawn detailing. The interior of this particular book has a darkened patina applied and sealed for a dark finish.

Each book is then etched in an acid bath to give the design a dimensional, textural quality. Covers then are hand patinaed to give the design contrast, then clear-coated for protection from the elements.

The interiors and back covers are hand burnished with a brushed look, and the book is hand sewn with Irish linen thread and aged copper eyelets. Contains Cream colored heavy weight hand torn cotton paper which has a lovely deckled edge.

Makes for a beautiful art display or functional book. Makes a special gift for the holidays.
