Flidais is the celtic woodland goddess of wild animals and sexuality.

Her name means “deer” she is sometimes called “mistress of stags”. She is said to be accompanied by a magick cow, whose milk could feed hundreds.

She also sometimes appeared, herself, in the form of a deer. The deer was the principal animal hunted by the Celts for food. The doe was associated with most woodland Goddesses, such as Saba and Flidais, and is their totem animal.

The stag was often seen as the incarnate form of woodland Gods such as Cernunnos. White stags were considered to be from the Otherworld and, in myth, their appearance always heralded some profound change in the lives of those in the story. Considered in Celtic mythology.

Flidhais is a moon goddess, and in other cultures associated with the goddesses Artemis and Diana.

This is my Flidhais.

Her head, torso, and hands are entirely handsculpted (no molds used, ever) so there will never be another quite like her again.

Flidhais may be posed seated, but she is a hanging doll, approx. 18" tall from the top of her head to the ends of her skirts. Her body is a wrapped wire armature which allows her arms to be very gently posed.

Her antlers are made from small branches, and as is the staff she holds. She wears a jeweled choker around her neck. (this is not removeable :)

Her mysterious face is handpainted with a blush of artist pigments, colors that I mix myself. Her gown is created of assorted vintage and antique laces, brocades and ribbon that I've collected over the years and continually search out for my dolls. She wears a long cape over her shoulders, sewn from sealskin (faux fur).

Her bodice is crafted from wire and antique brocade.

Flidhais' eyes are semi-precious hematite beads, and her wild hair is created from black and multicolored eyelash yarn, and applied a plait at a time.

She will come beautifully giftwrapped, and have a certificate signed by the artist.

All FaerySpell Faeries are carefully and lovingly packaged to arrive safely at their new home. They are sent via USPS Priority Mail, with delivery confirmation.

Thank you so much for looking and sharing in my world! :)
