Baint Mhona Beaded Choker

Description

The name of this piece means "digging turf," and since it has so many wonderful earth shades in it, I thought that name fitting for this little pendant. All of the glass is handmade. The bottom bead is a milk chocolate brown, slightly misshapen and really beautiful. Above that, a light amber glass bead with a terrific deep crack in it. In the middle, there's a one-of-a-kind bead: a white and brown bead that has a sort of tie dyed look. On the top is a double bead in a darker shade of amber - it was meant to be two beads but they didn't quite separate when made. The piece is wrapped with gold/brass-toned copper wire, and is finished on the bottom with a Celtic swirl.

The choker is made of memory wire and is strung with large silver-lined coppery-amber glass seed beads. It's made to fit most, if not all, necks.
