“Like a rocket, you either make it to outer space and don’t come back, or you fall back to your earthly home.”

This digital print is one of a series of 16 collages I made with in this last two years. The collages are a response to the instability of the world and a constantly changing daily existence. I appropriate the text and collage materials from vintage books, both fiction and non-fiction. I was hesitant to create digital prints of my work, as in the past digital images seemed flat and dull to me. But I am very pleased at the results of this paper and printer. These prints are bright and lively, full of texture and look the same if not better than the original collage. The prints are each 8 1/2 x 11 printed on matte photo paper with HP Vivera inks. This image is 7 x 5 inches. It will be shipped in a padded envelope wrapped in a protective cello envelope with a board for stability.
