OOAK Brooch

Description

This Brooch is made entirely of Polymer clay. It is made of 5 different canes, all made by me.
After baking the brooch is sanded to a smooth finish and then glazed for glass like finish.
The pin at the back is attached with E6000 glue.

Measurements:

6.5 cm long
3 cm wide
2.2 cm thick (w/a pin)

About My art:

my main focus is working with polymer clay in various techniques but mostly in a technique called Millefiori which dates back to Mesopotamian times. these images are a mosaic of different colors and shapes, which have been meticulously created by hand. this creates an image that travels throughout each piece, from the observe to the reverse. the pieces are then thinly sliced and layered on a glass vessel or a raw clay sheet to create colorful designs. at the end of the process the piece is baked in home oven to harden the clay.

i am the local head instructor for Polyform products and I also co run the Israeli formal forum for Polymer Clay addicts where I help promoting Polymer clay in Israel.
