Pink Paeon 8x10
Description
The peony is named after Paeon or Paean, a student of Asclepius, the Greek god of medicine and healing. Asclepius became jealous of his pupil; Zeus saved Paeon from the wrath of Asclepius by turning him into the peony flower. (copied from Wikipedia)One of my all time favorite flowers. I can almost smell the sweet fragrance. I was the caregiver of these lovelies for 8 yrs. Unfortunately, when I moved in October I had to leave them behind. It's a little sad. I miss them.
