Glass Slipper Turquoise Millefiori Bracelet

Description

Made with turquoise millefiori pillow beads , Swarovski crystal, small lampwork bumpy beads and sterling silver bead caps and spacers. There is a darling charm in the shape of a slipper / shoe that is also millefiori and a dangle with more crystal and a matching mille bed. The closure is a sterling silver heart shaped toggle. I've placed a SS ring adjacent to to a pillow bead and crystal that I call a "floater" that gives a bit of movement and character.

The inside diameter measures right at 7". Bracelet measurements are taken from the inside diameter (not laying flat) to ensure a good fit and to take in account for bead size.

If that size doesn't work for you, or you would rather have it adjustable for a gift, I will be happy to make the necessary adjustments for you free of charge up to 1/2" either larger or smaller.

The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers). A. Pellatt (in his book "Curiosities of Glass Making") was the first to use the term "millefiori", which appeared in the Oxford Dictionary in 1849. The beads were called mosaic beads before that time. While the use of this technique long precedes the term millefiori, it is now frequently associated with Venetian glassware. Millifiori will always contain flowers and has a very distinct pattern to it which is easy to recognize.
