rubellite satin handbound book

Description

the dimensions for this lush rubellite satin handbound book are about 4 1/2" x 6", and about 3/4" thick.

the cover was bound with a vibrant rubellite satin bookcloth. a lovely thin green ribbon with gold trim was placed in the spine to use as a bookmark, and eye-catching blue and white cotton headbands were placed over the bookmark. the inside of the covers are lined with a thick two-sided dark gray with white swirly line pattern/light gray papers.

the paper used are alternations of crisp georgia-pacific acid-free 110lb white card stock and 24lb acid & lignin-free natural colored wausau astroparche professional series stationary antique parchment finish paper. there are 9 signatures of 3 sheets each, to make a grand total of 108 pages. the signatures were stitched together with brown upholstery thread using the kettle stitch method, and were then glued to several layers of cheesecloth type material before being placed into acid-free binder's board cover. as a result, the pages will lay flat and you can write all the way into the margins!
