MEDITERRANEAN- Bamboo, Alpaca, Silk, and Corriedale Drum Carded Batts (3 oz.)

Description

"Mediterranean" is my new favorite. I drum carded a blend of roughly 40% bamboo in a crystal blue reminiscent of the Mediterranean, 30% alpaca/silk in a beautiful deepwater teal, and 30% corriedale wool in a seaweed green. I layered these fibers as I carded and topped them off with streaks of tussah silk in a vibrant sea foam green (photo doesn't adequately capture the sea foam). For a final touch I added just the lightest dusting of light green glitz to give the effect of the sun playing off water.

These batts are a wonderful mixture of refreshing blues and greens, with the predominant color and texture being the Mediterranean bamboo. Spun up the colors work wonderfully together- a beautiful combination. And the yarn feels so luxurious!!!
