Distant mountains vest fits medium to large in rhapsodic purples and turquoise aquas with ribbon accent

Description

Tunisian crocheted vest with lightly rolled small collar/front edge crafted on a large hook using a combination of purple/green/aqua predominantly synthetic fibres with shiny ribbon woven accents. Chest/bust 36 inches, length from shoulder 24 inches. Hand wash only. Please scroll down for wash/care instructions.

Lynn is inspired by classic, timeless designs with simple shapes that best showcase her emphasis on colours and textures. She creates each fiber design free form, using a cloth tape to set limits. Most knit/crochet items are worked in several strands of yarn together, using a jumbo crochet hook/knitting needle (some of which she has hand-crafted or adapted). Tunisian crochet is her preferred technique when crocheting items larger than hats, because it results in a lovely cloth-like drape. Wool, wool blends and various synthetic yarns are mixed together in all our knit/crochet items for enhanced colour and texture gradients, plus extra warmth (although for summer items, a lacy, openwork stitch is used with emphasis on cooler fibers like cotton).

CARE: All our hand knit/crochet items contain at least some woollen or other natural fiber, and as such, should be hand washed in lukewarm water, rinsed well, gently squeezed to remove excess water then laid flat on a towel to dry away from direct heat. Gentle hand washing also protects and preserves the handworked, relaxed stitches which in their jumbo size, especially with the knitted lace shawls, lack the tight set of a machine made piece.

Allergies? Our smoke-free home is shared with two cats and a dog but yarn works in process are kept in a container so yarn doesn't meander where those with four feet have trod.
