This Victorian style copper journal is made from 18-gauge solid copper plates. The design are assembled, collage style, using various art sources including hand-drawn detailing.

Each book is then etched in an acid bath to give the design a dimensional, textural quality. Covers then are hand patinaed to give the design contrast, then clear-coated for protection from the elements.

The interiors and back covers are hand burnished with a brushed look, and the book is hand sewn with Irish linen thread and aged copper eyelets.

Makes for a beautiful art display or functional book and a great holiday gift!
