Rodeo -insect sculpture with riding mice OOAK
Description
Head on down to the insect rodeo and see the beetles rope crickets from the backs of their cutting mice!The cricket is only about 3" long (10cm) but has all kinds of details from the ridges on the antenae to hairs on the legs. He's finished on the underside too so you can admire how each of the pieces of the carapace fit together and check out the tiny little pinchers on the end of each foot.
The mouse's saddle does have a buckle on the underside like a normal saddle, though no stirrups. if you've got six legs, you don't need any silly stirrups to keep from falling off. You have spare hands just to wave your hat with!
ApoxieSculpt, painted in acrylic. Rodeo is roughly 7" (18cm) long at longest point, by 3.5" (10 cm) tall. The cricket is roughly 3.5" (10cm long).
Despite looking fragile, all the tiny little fragile bits are built over a steel wire skeleton. I wouldn't suggest letting toddlers play with him, but he can withstand some handling.
