A Silver Mine

Description

She was married to a man who dug up the silver mine's in Africa. She was left in the America's, a prominent member of society, decked out in silvers and furs.

All these are sterling components on a brass chain. Okay, take a deep breath for my explanation for everything.
Ready?:

The monogramed base is 1940s, I beleive. Stamped sterling on the back. These are not rhinestones on it, but are set into the metal, more like cut steel (not marcasite) It is a pinback, and I left it intact for ya.

The apple looks goldtone, but it is stamped Wells Sterling with a small hallmark underneath it. I think it may have been plated, but the silver is now showing through. This is the heaviest pendant and certainly is worth a lot for its weight alone. Wells has been around along time and I really can't place when it was made. Probably pretty old based on the hallmark.

The next part is a beautiful sterling locket. Stamped on the back, vintage, but not as old as the other peices. 50-60s.

The last part of the necklace is perhaps the most curious. The woman told me it was from her brother in England and it was a pixie over the town they resided. (I can't remember for the life of me the name!). It is hallmarkes on the back with a crown, stamped JWP and silver. A pretty old peice, but again, I can't place a date on it.
