Vintage Textile Cuff/White Stallion

Description

This wrist cuff features an image of a white stallion from vintage barkcloth fabric. I have added some wonderful vintage lace with a large swirl pattern that ties in with the movement of the stallion. The black and red buttons are from the Art Deco period and are made from glass. There is also a large closure button with black glass and rhinestones.

On the top banding area are 4 mother-of-pearl beads and a hat jewelry fragment from an enameled Spanish bracelet. On the lower area is another vintage button with an enameled flower design.

This has a hand knitted base upon which I applique, mostly by hand, all the design elements. The inside is fully lined with a new silk fabric.

There is an overall equestrian feel to this piece but it is very light-hearted, with the double white lace ruffle and layered fabrics.

It would look stunning with a crisp white blouse or little black dress. But what a way to dress up jeans and a T shirt if that's your style!

Size: Fits a 6 - 61/2 inch wrist. Can be altered to fit as well. Please let me know your actual wrist measurement. It is approx. 2 3/4" wide.

Caring for your cuff: Just spot clean as needed. Vintage buttons are sensitive to heat.

Fully returnable if not satisfied.
