Snow Shadows, Small Landscape Collage Painting on Paper, Original

Description

This collage painting is made from hand painted papers in acrylic. The image size is 6 x 7.25 inches. There is a white border around the image and the external paper size is 7 x 8.25 inches.

The shadows on the snow were intense blue on this bright winter day.

The work is being sold unframed, but a digital frame is shown so that you can see how the work might be presented.

The work in done on acid-free, heavy artist's paper and is ready to frame. I begin by drawing one or two lines for placement and then cut and tear color shapes very simply and freely. Each shape is glued as I go. At the very end, various touches of acrylic color are added. The work is signed and dated lightly in pencil, January 4/2008.

I have been painting, showing, and selling for over 25 years and divide my time between painting and teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master of Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Education.
