Porcelain Pitcher

Description

This pitcher is made of porcelain and fired to a high temperature in a gas reduction kiln. The glaze is a brown "Temmoku", the glaze remains brown on the inside, however on the outside I layered a clear glaze over the temmoku which created an interesting and varied surface (an experiment, which I plan on using a lot!!). I further embellished the piece with Green sliptrailed swirls. The pitcher feels good in the hand and pours well. It is 8 inches tall 6 inches wide at the handle and holds 1 1/2 quarts.
