One of a Kind 6x8 Handmade Journal

This journal was made with 2-6x8 sturdy canvas panels as the covers. It has a flexible spine made with handmade book cloth so it opens flat for ease of writing or sketching. It has an elastic to keep it closed when not in use or for travelling. It arrives with 40 (80 both sides) pages of 20lb bond paper and has a unique binding that makes it refillable with any type of paper you choose (water colour paper, sketch paper, scrap booking paper) cut to 12x7 ½ (or 6x 7 1/2 folded). I use mine for art journaling, poetry and sketching on the go…

This journal has been decorated with handmade and cast paper, collage and painted with acrylic paints. The inside covers have been painted and distressed in bronze.

The best advice I've come across about creating is "To create what you want to look at..." My art is ever changing and evolving based upon my recent research, discoveries and inspirations. I draw upon the symbolism and mythology of many ancient and present cultures, seeking to create a visual language of my own. I am deeply fascinated with mythology, archetypes, divination, ancient civilizations, icons and mysticism... Thank you so much for looking!

NOTE: Colour Accuracy can VARY depending upon monitor settings. Metallic paints tend to shift depending upon the light source, so it can be difficult to capture accurate tones. Photos are taken in natural light with no flash.
