Dancing Amongst the Trees..(Original Collage)

Description

I love trees. I grow Maple trees from seeds and give them as gifts throughout the spring and summer.

This is a Paper Prayer. The paper prayer was created by Japanese artists to evoke a sense of well-being and health in the viewer. The paper prayer is a standard 10inches x 4 inches and can be made out of anything.
This paper prayer was created using handmade paper, water colors, colored pencils.
My first introduction to the Paper Prayer was at an AIDS benefit in Tucson. Artists from Tucson made these small wonderful works of art and sold them for $10.00 each. All proceeds went to the AIDS service organization in Tucson.
I enjoyed them so much that I not only purchased a couple, I started making them myself. I added the mat board to make it stand out and is more easily framed in an 11inch x 14inch frame.
I hope that this piece brings with it a sense of peace and of well-being.
