A ply (play) wood base.

The shards utilized are little gems I found during one of my many treasure hunts as I research old dumpsites, homesteads, privys, etc...

Pink is the color of universal love...and that's the feel or tone, aura of this cross coupled with beauty, acceptance, contentment and of course, tenderness.

The cross is sealed and is accompanied with a hand painted card explainingg the mosaic technique (pique assiette) and where the shards were unearthed.
