Couture piece- Hand dyed Silk Backless Formal Dress- sustainable clothing
Description
This piece is hand design and hand dyed. This backless dress is absolutely incredible, and creates an incredible silhouette.The dress was designed and shown in a fashion show in Lewiston, Maine which I created to display sustainable clothing. The silk used is fair trade silk purchased from India and the dyes are from a local farm in Turner. Maine. Many of the pieces from this show were then displayed at the Bates College Art Museum as part of their Green Horizons show. An art show promoting the idea of sustainability and art.
This dress not only is beautiful, unique, couture but sustainable and fair trade.
