Recycled Cotton, banana yarn, dress- SUSTAINABLY MADE
Description
This dress is super fun, funky and sustainably made. The material is recycled cotton and the yarn detailing is made from banana leaf yarn. The yarn is recycled banana leaves, fair trade and sustainably made.The dress was designed and shown in a fashion show in Lewiston, Maine. I created this show to display sustainable clothing, in hopes to promote the idea of functional sustainability. Many of the pieces from this show were then displayed at the Bates College Art Museum as part of their Green Horizons show. An art show promoting the idea of sustainability and art.
This dress is not only beautiful, unique, couture but sustainable and fair trade.
The dress is a small and fits about a US size 4.
