Jester Sock Monkey with Hanging Gourd Chair

This is probably the coolest thing I ever made. It's a set which includes a jester sock monkey and a hanging chair with a crocheted pillow. I picked the gourd out personally at the gourd farm, washed it, carved it, stained it with leather dyes, and laced it with artificial sinew. Then I crocheted a pillow to nest inside it. The gourd chair is 25" tall. I hang it on one of those ceiling hooks with a chain like you would normally hang a Japanese lantern from (or a plant).

The sock monkey has extra long legs and arms and a hat I crocheted with 3 white jester bells. And there is a little jester collar. The monkey is about 25" long from top of head to bottom of feet. The monkey has button eyes, and isn't really meant as a toy, but rather as an art figure.

This was a big hit at the Buena Park Library display. Good thing it was behind glass or the kids would have hugged it to pieces.

Priced seperately the sock monkey is $45.00 and the gourd chair is $75. If you really want me to split the pair up I'll make a seperate listing on Etsy after you convo me.
But they fit so perfectly together.
