Description

For four thousand years Sandalwood has been used as a perfume material. In perfumery it is a bottom note and a fixture for the scent. It is a deep, soft, sweet, woody, balsamic scent and blends very well with bergamot, jasmine, geranium, lavender, patchouli, rose and spice type scents. Historically it has been used in ritual to rid bad spirits, to calm people and as an aphrodisiac. Temples have been built with the wood of sandalwood because it is such a sacred wood.
