K chair

Description

This chair design was inspired by a Yngve Ekstrom chair I recently restored . Ekstrom's chair is a comfortable sling suspended in a strong and attractive frame. His frame shows off the beauty of the wood while using a minimum of material. I've designed my chair with these goals, but where Ekstrom chair uses sweeping curves and narrow members mine is designed for solid masculine presence. I've designed a Birch laminated tube to show off the flourished grain of the wood and to get additional strength from less materials. The Birch laminate tube makes up the legs arms and truss members. This base is modeled after the Ekstrom's. The hand woven sling is padded and upholstered to add comfort and support. The wood is finished with medium walnut Danish oil for the softest oil finish possible. This chair is designed for the beauty and comfort of smart stability

Shipping: to simplify I've set an optimal shipping cost. If the delivery is to a residence The cost will increase but I will bear the difference in price. Please allow three weeks for shipping, this allows payment to clear, shipping preperation and time for transport.
