340 yards 2-ply handspun by Amelia (me!) from Blue Faced Leicester wool and Alpaca blend (70/30) top in its natural white.

8.4 ounces total weight, this is a very generous skein indeed!

Spun longdraw style to maintain an airy yarn, with a shiny, smooth surface because it was spun from combed top. Blue Faced Leicester is a sheep breed that has medium fine, high-crimp wool, well loved by spinners. Alpaca is a wonderful fine fiber with nice sheen and a dream to spin. This blend was a delight to work with.

This big skein would be great for one of the 300-yard shawls on SimpleKnit's blogged shawl list. Left its natural creamy white it would be lovely for special occasions, or dye it to suit your mood and style.

Needle size recommended:
Knitting: US 5, 3.75 mm
Crochet: F hook
