Shibori Plum Blossom Brooch
Description
Here is just what you need on your coat or jacket lapel to make winter seem not quite so cold! This little pin's blossom is made with a piece of vintage fabric from a Japanese furisode, a kimono with almost floor-length sleeves worn by young unmarried women. Shibori is a type of Japanese tie-dye. The leaves are from a different vintage kimono. The pin is about 1.75" or 4.5 cm. across. Completely hand-sewn.Added on Oct 13, 2009
