Felted Envelope Purse Pattern

Description

Beautifully shaped purse knits up quickly and is extra thick. Knit holding two strands of worsted weight wool together on size 11 circular needles. Easy directions for a seamless and stylish shape. Includes instructions for optional knitted roses and leaves as embellishments. Felted roses can even be beaded for added detail.

Finished Size: 6" high x 10" wide x 3" deep; 14" handle.

Project Requirements:

- Needles: size 11 circular 24” for purse; size 5 long straight or any length circular for roses and leaves (optional)

- Yarn: Any wool suitable for felting; worsted weight, knitted two strands together for entire purse - a total of approx. 440 yards. Recommended: Lamb’s Pride worsted wool or Cascade 220, but you can substitute any comparable worsted wool.

For roses and leaves, a few yards of each desired color (use wool if felting them)
