Lonesome Dovekie

Description

Seen on the rocky "Back Shore" of Gloucester, Massachusetts, this Dovekie provided a very rare land sighting. Often, these very small birds may be seen in great flocks far off shore, but occasionally, these sea birds will be seen in the water from the shoreline following winter storms. Still, it is highly unusual that one of these penguin-like birds would actually venture onto land. But, it seems that a bit of time on shore was just what this little fellow wanted, and luckily for this photographer, seemed perfectly content to be photographed.

Each photographic artwork piece will be sent as an 8" x 10" mounted to an 11" x 14" acid-free white matboard, beveled at a 45-degree angle with a black core, and in most cases, double matted.
