Plus Size Altered Embellished Silk Screened T Shirt Memorializes U.S. Soldier Donation Included

This is a nice, big, loose, comfy, stylish top that has been embellished and silk screened. Across the front is a powerful, important anti-war message. It reads:

BENNIE IS GONE

HE WAS 25.

THIS IS THE COST OF WAR.

This brown, 100% cotton top is a size 2XL (unisex or mens 2XL) (see measurements below). It is part of my Memorial Tee collection, t-shirts that help keep alive the memories of those who have died in the war in Iraq, both American soldiers and Iraqi civilians. These tops allow you to be stylish and hip, while at the same time making important, humanitarian statements, without saying a word! Couture activisim: the activisim of the 21st century.

The top has been embellished with scraps of hand-dyed fabrics (includings some from Lisabeedesigns here on Etsy) and decorative threads. A collage of rust, brown, yellow and green fabrics and threads has been sewn across the neckline. Stitching around the neckline in brown and gold threads makes the neck ruffly, and as does copious stitching around the shoulder seams in rich, contrasting colors.

A two inch square patch of hand dyed cotton in rich shads of reds, rust, and orange (with a touch of green and yellow thrown in for good measure) has been sewn onto the bottom front of the shirt with a couple of rows of decorative machine stitching.

While loose and roomy, the shirt has a polished (in an arty, funky way), stylish look that will take an ordinary pair of jeans or slacks up a notch or two or three. Shoulders--21 inches across
Bust--27 1/2 inches from armpit to armpit
Length--almost 29 inches from very top of neckline to bottom of hem.
