carved bone bookmark - tea-dyed horse head bead

Description

The focal horse head bead is carved from bone, then smoked. This process leaves a light brown color on the bead, and darkens the carved areas. It has a golden glow to it, and is very striking in appearance.

Size of horse head: 1¼" x 1½"

I connected the clip and head with lapis and gold beads.
Total length of marker: 5½"

I guess you could use this as a money clip also.
