Huge Vintage Lipstick Red Spiderweb Glass Bead...Sterling Silver
Description
Vintage Czech lace bead is from the 1930's. It is the biggest example of the older beads that I have found. Hand lampworked hollow bead with the rod inside (the newer beads do not have the inner rod). The bead itself is a tremendous 1 3/8" length, and about 6/8" wide.The entire length of the pendant including the sterling silver bail is about 2"
The sterling chain and clasp measure about 19"
The red is much more brilliant in person. I would call it a very deep ruby red. Some colors in glass beads deepen with age. This has aged to such a rich red that it is hard to describe.
It is marked 925 on both the bail and the clasp.
