Plush Matryoshka Doll

Description

It was my friend's one-year-old daughter who inspired me to start creating soft versions of the traditional Russian "Matryoshka" doll. She loved her mom's Russian wooden nesting dolls but was too young to play with them, so I created her a soft one she could hug to her heart's content! This doll measures 14 inches tall x 11 inches wide at her widest point (i.e., 35.5 cm x 28 cm). Her body, bonnet and apron are made from 100% cotton and her face, eyes, hair and cheeks are made from 100% wool melton. She is stuffed with 100% polyester fibre fill.

This doll is suitable for all ages, as she has no small removable parts, but if the gift recipient is under the age of three, he or she should be closely supervised. As I have learned, teething toddlers have industrial-strength chewing capabilities.
