I Love Astronomy Necklace

This is a unique hand-formed and hand painted ceramic astronomy heart necklace made by Surly Amy at Surly Ramics. This necklace is one of our large size charms.

Ok... so I have been listening to "Astronomy Cast" podcast (you can download it out for free on itunes) on my ipod while I work in my ceramic studio and it has been inspiring and wonderful! Learning about space and the planets and physics in general is a wonderful journey within the mind that extends to the far reaches of the universe and I have total respect for all the astronomers and other scientists helping to unravel the mysteries of space for all of us here on earth. This design is in honor of them and in honor of the awe inspiring beauty that begins on our planet and extends across the universe.


I have posted some photos of one of my lovely models (Surly Sphinx) wearing a similar shaped necklace with a different design so you can get an idea of the size and how great this will look on.

The necklace is painted in a beautiful shiny black glaze with black, blue, orange, green and white details.

The heart charm is approx. 3" h and has an 18" leather cord. *******************I will be happy to add a longer cord if you let me know via message to seller during checkout. Please let me know if you need the cord to be 20", 22", 24" or 26".************************

I ship almost everything priority mail so you should get the necklace within 2 to 4 days after payment clears (if you are in the USA.)

The necklace comes packed in a pretty little black box and is perfect for gift giving. (even if the gift is for you!)
