About this Painting - what prompted me to capture this darkened landscape was the thin sliver of light showing on the horizon. It was so striking with the blackened trees in front of it.

I have used a thick combed texture on this piece. I love the challenge of creating an image over the ridges and then using thin washes of paint that settle into the grooves for a huge amount of depth.

This painting features very fine lines, vibrant color and graceful composition. I have been experimenting with an almost watercolour effect lately. It would make a stunning addition to your collection.

This artist only uses quality paints and canvas. The sides of this piece are painted black so no framing is necessary.
