A Hint of India Snappie Bracelet

A Hint of India was done for a creative challenge using India as a source of inspiration.
I decided on using the paisley motif which originated in Persia but is also found in India design. I remembered I had these gold and black buttons with a paisley design on them so they became my basis. After sewing them onto the black grosgrain they looked like they needed something more so I added the smaller black and gold buttons.

Buttons in my collection are a combination of old, new, and vintage of various materials. Each button is sewn on by hand to grosgrain ribbon that has some stiff interfacing material added to it. After the buttons are sewn on another piece of grosgrain ribbon is sewn on by hand to present a neat inside and hide all those ugly threads and knots!

The piece snaps on to make it an easy on, easy off style bracelet. No clasps or ties to fuss with just snap it on and you're good to go! Great if you are alone or your hands don't work as well as they used to!

This piece fits a 5 1/2 inch (13m) wrist, a smaller wrist would be a looser fit. The width of the bracelet is about 1 inch (2.5cm).

Bracelet weighs .9 oz and comes in a white gift box.
