Hand Painted Happy Snail Treasure Box

This is one of my favorites.

I painted this box in a lovely caribbean blue, a vibrant, yet soft aqua. The snail is a bright pink next to a cantelope orange. The design wraps around to the back.
A flower, a sun and a cloud complete the design.
The interior has a matching pink shelf.
The box rests on 4 bubblegum looking feet and pretty pink and orange rhinestones dot the shell of the snail. The finishing touch was when I gave the snail sparkling blue eyes.

To prepare this box for painting, I first sanded and sanded it. Two coats of primer were applied and the fun started.
I drew the design on and painted on several coats of acrylic paint. After the rhinestones and feet were attached, I applied several coats of satin varnish.
