Hand Painted Pretty Pink Ladybug Treasure Box

Description

This treasure box was designed and handpainted by me. The artwork is signed and dated on the bottom.

The doors open like a miniature armoir, with a shelf inside. The background color is a creamy pale celery with a hint of yellow. The ladybug is a salmon pink with sky blue polka dots. Green, pink and blue rhinestones are attached to the dots. Miss ladybug's legs wrap around on both sides and are dotted with more rhinestones. A very happy trio of flowers are on the back of the box. The design is completed with a golden, swirly sun on top. And, the interior was painted with pink, orange and blue paint.

Before the paints were applied, I sanded the box to a very smooth texture. I then applied 2 coats of primer. My design was drawn on and several coats of acrylic were painted on. After the rhinestones were attached, I completed it with several coats of satin varnish.

It's perfect for keeping your special treasures in.
