copper sunset singlet
Description
This warm copper tile features palmera leaves and has a rich heat-patina creating a sunset effect. It has a hand-cut copper "landscape" layered on top. The edge of the red has been carefully ground to reveal a crisp copper edging.The piece has been mounted to float above a wooden backing. I routed the edge of the wood to create a decorative border, and layered it with three different stains until it became a rich reddish mahogany brown. I routed a keyhole hanger into the back of the board so that it hangs perfectly flush with the wall.
The finished piece measures 7 1/4" square (18.4cm); the inner tile is 4" square (10.16 cm)
