Tea and walnut culottes - Made from scratch - Eco friendly

The fairytale starts with hand-knit ribbing in the softest, fluffiest yarn I could find, it's a delight to behold! With a drawstring waist, adorable leg cuffs, and breathable cotton fabric these culottes are also oh so comfortable to wear.

The Tea & walnut culottes are part of my graduate collection from London College of Fashion. It's entirely handmade by myself from scratch including the design, pattern making, dyeing with natural dyes and sewing.

*Size*

Waist and hips: Up to 100 cm (39")
Leg cuffs: Up to 46 cm (18")
Length from waist to hem at longest point: 64 cm (25")

The waist is fully adjustable with a drawstring to fit you just right (see the 3rd image). The leg cuffs are gently elasticated (images 4 & 5).

*Materials*

Upper section: 100% cotton
Lower section: 100% cotton herringbone twill
Hand-knit ribbing: 70% super kid mohair, 30% silk

Reclaimed cotton: All the cotton fabric is shop-soiled seconds, saved from a trip to the incinerator. A quick wash rejuvenated the fabric and prepared it for dyeing. I'm really glad this gorgeous fabric could be stopped from going to waste.

*Natural dyes*

The fabrics have all been hand dyed by myself with natural plant dyes and only safe mordants. It's always exciting to see how the colours turn out, they're never exactly the same twice.
Walnut and tea provide the neutral hues from beige through to brown and grey. All the tea used was recycled after a nice cuppa!
Dyeing by hand gives a unique, subtle texture to the colours. I've researched wash and light fastness and chosen some of the most stable plants around. However the colours can change and become lighter, or even darker with time! This is all part of the fun.

*Care instructions*

The Tea & walnut culottes can be hand washed with mild detergent in cool water, or machine washed on a cool, extra delicate cycle. Using a mild, pH neutral detergent will help the colours stay true for longer.
Line dry out of direct sunlight and iron on a medium heat setting.

*Shipping*

These culottes will ship within 7 days. If the actual shipping cost is less, I'll refund the difference.

To the UK: I'll use Special delivery next day, both tracked and fully insured.

To Everywhere Else: This will be fully insured for the purchase price. Depending on your country it will have either tracking or delivery confirmation.
Please note that any customs duty is not included in the price, you can check with your customs and excise department to find out if you'll be charged extra.

*Returns, refunds, exchanges*

If you're not happy with your purchase please contact me! I'll do all I can to fix it.
Return your item in it's original condition within 14 days of receipt for a full refund minus shipping costs.
If the item is damaged in transit please let me know, I will make a claim with the post office and refund/exchange your item.
