Antelope, shmantelope. Oryx, shmoryx. He's just a grass eating safari machine, and he doesn't care who knows it.

*note* The colors are more "true" in the second, full image. The cropped one is a bit shaded, and I'm not magical enough to equalize it. A lovely seafoam green with pastels.

I tried to accomplish one painting a day in January, and I almost made it. This rustic little painting on wood board is
5.5x6, painted in oils with matte white sides and a hanging loop on back. 1 in series of 4 zoo blocks. As the price and photos show, it is *not* a highly finished, professional, gallery-quality piece, but a fun and playful little study, lightly sanded with lots of wood texture revealed. Real art from the trenches.
