Purple Metropolis Photo Collage 4 by 6

Description

The figure on this collage reminds me of the logo for Fritz Lang's silent film, Metropolis, hence the name. The photo used is an original photo I took of a statue at the Georg Kolbe museum here in Berlin. I added effects to make it black and white, so it shows up very crisply underneath the translucent purple paper I glued over it. On top of the paper I added a matte lacquer, then mounted the collage on cardboard. I added a black ribbon as a border and for easy hanging. The brighter purple color in the two pictures with the blue and orange back groundis closer to the actual color of the collage than the other two photos which turned out a bit lighter.
