Children of the Night Sterling Silver and Snowflake Obsidian Wolf Necklace

This piece was out on display in a shop, and it's just recently come home to me, so it's more reminiscent of some of my older styles. Back to the basics!

Very bold, solid sterling silver wolf and celtic knot design centerpiece is accented with dangles of onyx and snowflake obsidian. The main portion of the necklace is comprised of more snowflake obsidian faceted rondelles and onyx beads. Sterling silver spacers and lobsterclaw clasp.

Approximately 20" (50cm) long.

ABOUT SNOWFLAKE OBSIDIAN:
For those who believe in the healing and spiritual properties of stones, snowflake obsidian is said to have the ability to bring things to the surface gently and with restraint. It is said to help provide balance during times of change, and aid in seeing patterns in life. It helps warn of danger by showing the overall picture, and it lends serenity and purity as a shield against negativity. It is thought to be a protective stone.

ABOUT WOLVES:
As a symbol, wolves represent many things including potentially intelligence, cunning, communication, friendship, loyalty, generosity, and compassion. The wolf appears in the story of the founding of Rome, where a she-wolf suckled the orphaned brothers Romulus and Remus. A wolf is ridden by Odin and the Valkyries in Norse mythology, and in Celtic myth the wolf hunts the sun each evening to devour it and allow the moon to reign.
