Garden Sunprinted Cotton Cuts- Set 11- Brown or Rose with Green

Sunprinted Fabric Cuts- Set # 11- Brown or Rose with Green Cotton.

This is a 4 piece set of coordinating sunprints on cotton fabric. All four pieces are 5"x7" in size. Two prints are on fabric painted dusty rose and green, with prints of a fern and one with Queen Ann's Lace leaves and flowers. The other two are painted in soft brown and the same green as the first two. One print is of a single fern frond, with the other a grouping of lacy Pulsatilla (perennial Anemone) leaves. The third photo shows all 4 pieces, while others show closeups of pairs. You can use these sunprinted fabric pieces to add one of a kind interest to many different projects, from quilted wall hangings, pillows, collages, even bottle cozies using my pattern available at my other etsy store www.andrusgardensquilts.etsy.com --see some finished ones there, too. Your imagination is the only limit to how these can be used.

My sunprints are created by first painting fabric with acrylic textile paints. Fresh or pressed leaves, flowers, shapes cut from foam sheets, or other items are placed onto the wet paint, then the fabric is put in the sun to dry. The drying process causes the prints to form. The paint under the objects wicks out from underneath along with the water, as the fabric around the objects dries. There is no way to know exactly how a print will develop, due to variations in drying conditions, application of the paint, type of fabric, etc. No two will ever be alike, because the paint won't dry exactly the same way twice. Prints of butterflies, hummingbirds, and other creatures are made by using shapes cut out of foam sheets, or other materials. Sunprinted fabrics are truly unique.
