Copper Chainmaille Bracelet Box Chain

Description

This chainmaille (chainmail) bracelet was handmade by winding copper wire into a coil. I then sawed the coil into individual rings. The rings were then woven in a pattern known as box chain. Finally, I added a handmade S clasp and tumbled the bracelet to achieve a high shine.

Although this bracelet is quite substantial, it is soft and slinky and has nice movement to it. It is shiny copper, but will develop a rich brown patina over time. If you would like to keep it shiny it can be cleaned with copper cleaner or a mixture of lemon juice and salt.

This bracelet measures 8 inches ((20.3 cm) in length, including the clasp and is approximately 3/8 inches (.96cm) wide. It will fit comfortably on a 7-3/8 inch (18.7 cm) wrist. The length can be adjusted upon request.
