Hackberry Home ACEO

Description

Situated in a rugged old hackberry tree that has housed fairies for centuries, this fairy home is full of history. The tree itself bears the name Celtis, the Greek word meaning
hackberry. As the tree ages, its bark becomes knobby and very textural and witches brooms appear among the branches. The fairies consider the tree to be quite magical and its gnarled irregular limbs to be a perfect haven for their gatherings for mystical ceremonies. This fairy home embodies the nurturing power found in this ancient tree that benefits all creatures.

ACEO art card, 3.5" x 2.5". This image was created from one of my photographs of a knothole in a tree, where I believe a fairy lives. I then digitally "draw" the details with a digital pen. I enhance what I perceive to be the door and then add other accessories such as the broom and lantern.
