Red Cardinal

Description

This is a fused glass art piece that is framed in a black 7-3/4"x9-3/4" frame with an opening of 4-1/2"x6-1/2". This frame has backing so you can either hang the picture on a wall or place it on a table. The cardinal is made with a beautiful red transparent glass and the entire bird is outlined with 14K white gold paint. A perfect art piece for the bird lover!

Each piece of glass is handcut by me, layered and then fused together in my kiln at 1450 - 1500 degrees. All of my pieces are fused with compatible glass and annealed (cooled slowly) for durability and strength. I also incorporate dichroic glass throughout my pieces. This glass leaves a beautiful effect as the metallic coating absorbs and reflects different colors of light at different angles.
