Introducing Woolmer scarves! Exclusive to What Katy Had, these scarves have been lovingly knitted completely by hand. No machines here! Hours and hours of work goes into to each one and what's more they're completely unique. No-one else will ever have a scarf quite like yours in the whole wide world...

This scarf is called The Wentwood. The Wentwood is an ancient forest on a hill. In the early spring I like to find tiny green saplings and seedlings there amongst the old fallen wood and last autumn's leaves. Their bright green looks so lovely against the light and dark browns of the forest floor.

This scarf is very, very long. Wear it long or wrap it around and around yourself (don't get stuck now!). You can even pull it over your head and make a hood type arrangement. Genius.

The actual measurements of the scarf are 104 inches long by 8.5 inches wide. That's a massive eight and a half foot of scarf! It's knitted from 100% acrylic wool which is lovely and soft and, most importantly, not itchy for those with allergies.

It was knitted like a great big tube and then joined together at the ends so it's made up of not one but two layers of knitting and there are no nasty hard edges. 100% cuddly softness.

You may machine wash it at 40°, tumble dry it on a cool cycle and you can iron it on a low setting too. You can even dry clean it if you want to. This scarf is not fussy.

This scarf has all the colours of the forest in it - bright leaf green like the saplings, chocolate brown like the earth and oatmeal like the dry fallen leaves after the winter.

I really cannot emphasise how extra lovely this scarf is. And remember, scarves are not just for winter. They're also great for cuddling up on the sofa with and lassoing your dog.
