Diana Hammered Sterling Necklace (V)
Description
Adorn yourself with a crescent of silver. This slender, hand-hammered curve has a diameter of about 5 cm at its widest point. This piece is the fifth in my Diana series, and features three small garnet beads. It is suspended from 16 inches, or 41 cm of sterling chain. The S-clasp is hand-formed and hammered to complement the crescent pendant. This necklace has been patinaed, and brushed, so the hammered texture shows nicely.This piece was inspired by the Goddess Diana. The Romans knew her as the Goddess of the Hunt, and the Moon. She is often depicted with a crescent shaped diadem.
